Cropping jeans just at the knee

Jeans are being cropped, hemmed and cuffed
every which way as the weather warms up.
One version seems to be the current denim uniform
of NYC's rickshaw (or pedicab) drivers
that encircle Central Park.

    I'm doing this with my dd's jeans and I'm also embleshing them with paint and other things.

    Doing it myself is a lot cheaper than buying them at the store. Plus I can always cut them to make shorts for school.
